Reserve Columbia Valley Sauvignon Blanc

I’m always on the hunt for my next favorite Sauvignon Blanc and I think I may have found it. The citrus-forward notes go beyond grapefruit to include more interesting flavors of pineapple, guava, and play off the stone and herb notes nicely. All-around solid wine with good body and satisfying complexity.

Sauvignon Blanc is my “go to” white wine. I enjoy a crisp, citrus, bright glass of wine. The 2019 Matthews Reserve Sav. Blanc has all of these characteristics due to the 10 months of aging in concrete egg.

Lychee and grapefruit. Crisp and great structure

Crisp and clean, lemon rind and some soft minerality make a nice combination.

Nice SB. Wanted a little more crispness to it but still really nice. Lots of tropical fruit when I first opened the bottle. Some sweetness to it, some slight lychee on the back end. No cat pee nose 😊

Absolutely love this wine. Its one of the highlights of summer whites.

Great nose carries through as the wine hits your palette. Solid accompaniment to a strong cheese.

Initially, ripe cherry aromas are pleasing. Mix that with flavors of fresh thyme, walnut and licorice for a wonderfully tasting wine.

Ginger and green tea. A-little citrus. Very fresh.
2018 Reserve Sauvignon Blanc

Crisp and fruity with a hint of baking spices. Nice acidity to the finish.
