I have rarely disliked a wine so emphatically that I've given such a poor rating. In fact, when I taste a wine as disappointing as this one I usually refrain from commentary, but as a public service to Riesling lovers everywhere I'll share my thoughts on this bottling. If you are growing cool climate grapes in what equates to a Mediterranean climate why would you pick underripe berries to prove your point of making a 10% ABV Riesling? Sad, sour, thin and anemic. A wine devoid of any texture and charm. Everything I love about Riesling is missing.

Riesling from California......and it's good?! Really good. Nice zip. The fruit is starting to show itself a little more and is a welcome addition to the program. Would love to do this side-by-side with Tatomer's from the same site.
