This reserve edition of Mr. Parish’s already-excellent Napa Cab, this wine is full bodied, weighing in at 14.5%, and an inky ruby black in color. Now that it has had time to lay down in my cellar, the harsh oak has had time to mellow and soften. It now has a pleasantly chewy, dusty tannic structure, with bright red currant, boysenberry, vanilla, clove, and black pepper. There is a hint of chocolate to the lingering finish.

1 person found it helpfulMar 4th, 2018First time having the Reserve for this vintage and didn’t disappoint. Spice, cinnamon, dark berries (blackberry) and more. This still is a bit young and could likely stand a few more years in the rack. . . Good thing I have more bottles.
