This velvety-smooth Cabernet has a bit of sizzle on the tongue. thanks to its 14.5% alcohol. It is a big wine but the tannins are not quite so dense as to feel like "liquid bread". Plum and dark chocolate flavors are predominant, with a bit of coffee lingering in the finish.

Have been keeping 8 years of Matt’s wine and slowly drinking them at different intervals. This 2013 still is not too old and drinks even smoother than before. More earth tones come out as well as a better blending of the dark berries. Worth having again and good thing I still have more bottles.

Have the 2013 - 2017 sitting on my rack. Pulled this one out because the last bottle felt like it might have peaked but. . . I could be wrong. This bottle seemed to be deeper, more expressive and still holding great color. I’m guessing a few more years at a minimum for this vintage.

Very much enjoyed the younger version of the 2013 vintage, so I thought I would put some bottles away and see how they aged. At 7 years this may be slightly over the peak. Lost some of the strong berry nose but definitely smoother and softer tannins. A very mild reddish orange (orange might even be too strong of a color) hinting at age. Closest thing I could compare to is a softer Bordeaux blend. Definitely worth drinking but think I need to drink my remaining bottles sooner rather than later.

Drinkable, but past it's prime. I sat on it too long it seems.

Young wine. Still a little tight. Great nose. Had it with lamb burger and wood-smoked chicken wings. Held up well.

Still velvety on the finish. Good for a relatively young Cab.

TOP DOG CALI CAB

Was delighted to find some Californian Cabernet on Naked & even more pleased to drink this one! This could be the wine that stops me from leaving Naked Wines, and I still have the Reserve to try!

Decanted an hour before; deep ruby; med(+) nose of rich blackcurrant, liquorice & violets; med(+) acidity, tannin, alcohol & body, well balanced; med flavours of all the above plus some leafy & herbaceous notes; silky smooth; finish a little short at medium.
Overall v pleasant! 88pts. ✨

Black currant on the nose, cherry finish. Leather, smooth velvety finish. An approachable delightful for young red wine.

Not my favorite. I was expecting more from Napa.
