EQ Syrah
They make a number of grape varietals wines under an EQ label, which stands for Equilibrium. Also, their logo with the circle ⭕️ and the + (cross section) represents the four elements; fire, earth, water & air.
On the nose; amazing ruby, ripe floral fruits. Black pepper, core of anise, dark chocolate baking bar, rich, moist, semi-sweet dark soil, black licorice and amazingly bright, lavender and violets.
On the palate; the body is full. Dark chewy, sticky, meaty tannins. Blackberries, black raspberries, dark plum, plum, creamy raspberries, cherries and some strawberries. Black pepper, core of anise, dark chocolate baking bar, rich caramel, mocha, moist, semi-sweet dark soil, dry clay & top soil, black olive, black licorice and amazingly bright, lavender and violets.
Photos of; their terrace patio where our tasting was set up. These stones were taken from the property in order to plant vines. They were not wasted as they went into the many walls around the property. The stone is another example of the quartz that runs through much of Casablanca. The mossy stone waterfall wall outside their barrel room. Their fine reds cellar. Again, stones taken from the property to makes some designer inner walls. They are strung with misters to add humidity to the barrel room when needed.
