Drank 11/20/19.
Pleasant nose of lemon curd and golden apple. Simple flavors of lemon drop candy, pear, and green apple. A slightly sweet style that will certainly have its fans, unfortunately I am not one of them. A slightly bitter finish, with medium + body.

Dark colored. A bit like petite sirah, but a shade rosier. Smells like plums and oak barrels. Flavor is robust with a streak of floral lavender or violet candy. Plenty of fruit and plenty of fire-power alcohol-wise. Pretty chewy too. But elegant and more earth/mineral than most Petite S.

Nov 17th, 2024Another fine vintage. Smoke, flint and soil on the nose with the stream-side berries. Flavors are nice. Bit cleaner and sleek compared to some Petite Verdot out there. It’s balanced and very well made though.

May 29th, 2024Tried again. A nice big wine for a great price. Plenty of tannins and some oak smoke. But it’s not overly fruit bombed, and there’s a distinctive herbal streak to keep things funky fresh.
