At 11yrs old, this wine is becoming harmonious. The tannins are softened and integrated. There is a lushness and softness on palate. Red fruit and funk.. a very nice Barolo especially at this price point.

A great classic Barolo with some good bottle age. Definitely a smidge unrefined - not in a bad way - but there is a dusty / chalkiness that somewhat interferes with the end of the palate. But great secondary red and black fruit, an incredibly expressive nose, and great acid on the finish keep this all together.

Not Mussolini, Massolino! Also topical as we just elected our own version of Silvio Berlusconi. He was fun...right? Er....well, the wine was delicious. All you want from a Barolo, the tar & roses & subdued but somehow still poppin fruit, behind. En magnum (my bride and I required).

Raspberries, licorice, cedar box and baking spices. Yum! Served from a magnum with great friends. Best way to share good wine.

Think we just missed the window as the tannins and fruit couldn't quite handle the booze, but a fun drink nonetheless. 9th Anniversary

This wine is very sexy I love the body but , it could use a little more time in the bottle to smooth it out a little. Also great with lamb !

Good base Barolo. Correct flavors and acidity, violets and rose petals, with some loamey stuff going on too. Come up a bit short in the finish, and some unresolved tannins lend a little bitterness. However, very drinkable.

Tannins are not outliving the fruit. Secondary characteristics, but obviously a bottom level barolo
