I was curious regarding how Verdeca would taste. The answer: not very good. This wine is a combination of Verdeca and Fiano Minutulo, another unique grape variety from Salento. The wine tastes mostly like grass, but finishes with an odd mix of lime and pineapple. The palette is complex but unbalanced. The odd mix of flavors creates an unpleasant experience. There is hardly any nose. Leaving it to breathe did not change it at all. The grassiness is overwhelming.
