One of the more drinkable reds we’ve had this trio.

In 1958, Masi was in the forefront of the work to identify the historic "cru" vineyard sites for Amarone. Had another ‘08, Wow! Dark red with complex aromas of black and red fruits & spice. On the palate sweet cherry and dried plum flavors, currants, cacao and tobacco notes with oven spices. Soft smooth tannins well balanced with just the right touch of acidity on a lingering finish. Aged well, still has room to age. Great sipping wine! Yum!

This wine has a lot of dark fruits, figs, rum spices, and slight cigarette. Very drying in mouth with a slight awkward wood like plank characteristic.

Yeah, it's great. But it's also $70.

Mature red fruits, balanced acidity, deep aromas, expressive and delicated... Nice!

More non fruit character than previous wine. Loads of tobacco, leather, spice. Somewhat linear

Good, but lots of heavier toast wood on the nose-mocha/coffee tones. Shorter finish. Wanted to like more than I ended up liking.

This was first introduced 2003 and it is an additional year so this would be held for 3 years before release.
