Mas Champart
Causse du Bousquet Saint-Chinian Red Blend
Saint-Chinian, Languedoc, Languedoc Roussillon, France
Big waft of Brett on the nose at first, which happily doesn't carry over to the palate. Deeply colored with prune, black raspberry, leather, black olive, roasted espresso bean, and white pepper. Rustic, to be sure, and certainly not for everyone, but this is really neat.
