Dense, meaty, sauvage, elegant and soulful. Reminiscent of Bandol but a certainly distinctive mineral character, more baked stone coming through. Fruit is settling in, the wild tertiary notes poking out, hitting a stride for sure.

Drunk for first time out of a new glass-Zalto denk’art universal- holy moly: much more subtle & fresh for a “purple “ wine that I typically would expect. Maybe it’s the glass...but boysenberry, blackberry & lift. Kermit import.

Beautiful Syrah based blend. Light tannins, subtle layers of fruit. Good structure. Would be perfect with a steak.

Aromatics of red cherry licorice and herb-dusted stone hover above the slightest hint of grilled meat. A mouth-filling sip bellows of ripeness yet the wine never turns flabby.

A blend of Syrah Grenache and Mourvèdre an appellation of the languedoc called saint chinian some limestone on the property and they have some Cabernet franc part of this wine aged in concrete and some in oak. Some animal here smoky bacon fat, a good amount of dark berry fruit and dried herbs and has nice freshness and finesse for a wine from the south that animal and some tannins showing but again nice freshness and balance. Finish 45+ excellent

Big waft of Brett on the nose at first, which happily doesn't carry over to the palate. Deeply colored with prune, black raspberry, leather, black olive, roasted espresso bean, and white pepper. Rustic, to be sure, and certainly not for everyone, but this is really neat.

2011. Monster fruit laced with oily herbs. Should be chased with a grilled lamb shoulder chop.
