Oxidised wine. Spends one year in demijohns in the sun, and then goes to large old oak casks.
Nose: deliberate oxidation gives them a wonderful nutty, spicy, “rancio” flavour. Cherry-like flavours, chocolate, orange, tangerine, herbal note, liquour-chocolate.
Palate: Good balance between acidity vs sweetness, ripe apricots, figs. Quite light. Nice aftertaste of burned wood, caramel, cane sugar, smoked apricots, burned black chocolate.
