Maryline et Christophe Billon
Les Elotins Côte-Rôtie Syrah
A fav producer for me, the wines smash ever year. Beautifully showing what 2015 in the Côte Rôtie was all about: flesh, density, structure. This has settled in nicely, in prime window for me. Fruit has melted in, complexity developing and still maintains life and tannic intensity. Redolent w/boysenberry and a kiss of blue fruit, high ripeness but balanced alcohol, juniper, hot iron, smoked meat, pulverized granite, coffee

Aug 15th, 2021So so good. A 2015 Côte Rotie one can drink now. Engaging and dazzlingly pure with such freshness and decadent fruit. Oh man what a beauty.

Sep 18th, 2019Have not had a young C/R in a long time. This was like seeing a two year old thoroughbred race horse and thinking sure he’s not going to win the Kentucky Derby but this is a very good horse.
Lots of all the good things; fruit, acid and tannin and most importantly minimal alcohol influence in a warm vintage . Very pure , one can drink now but you will be missing out on even greater enjoyment in the future.
