Usually when I taste rosso di montalcino, I just want it to be brunello. This is different: it clearly shows Montalcino terroir but has its own voice and complexity with ripened cherries from the warm Montalcino sun supported with with spicy sweet Tuscan underbrush, as though we were hiking in the fall during a spell of Indian summer.
