Weekly Wednesday wine committee. This week we had 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 3 reds, 1 dessert. All tasted blind as normal.
Shame on me for not guessing this...it’s my favorite Pinot Vineyard! And I love any BSR ‘04s! Quite a bit of graham cracker and blueberry-blackberry compote here. Many guessed ‘90s Ridge zin. Great spicy, peppered and fruit driven finish.

Impressive depth, complexity and tremendously pure California Pinot Noir varietal character. A beautiful transparent ruby red color. A style many seem to chase but don't quite obtain the same balance.

The Blue Slide has always been my favorite bottling of all the Martinellis that Helen makes. Her personal favorite as well. Still with a few more years of life in it.
