Luc Saint Joseph Syrah

Ripe and delicious, hedo fruit, not going to age in the long haul as the heat/drought fruit character really showing on days 2/3. Loved it though, open for business and no need to wait.

Liquid rocks, stewed raspberry, smoky herbs, dried violets and black olive tapenade. Wonderfully assured.

Savory, roasted meat, alive and full of depth. First taste of this producers Syrah

Terrific nose. Raspberry coulis, granite and smoke. Feral and floral and a terrific sense of wild. Palate is bright and juicy with lovely mineral grip and granitic lift. Refined and elegant like the best 2016’s. Big structure this time but also top finesse. Best to wait 2-3 years.

Awesome nose. Granite, raspberry coulis, floral, so pure, big raspberry stank and just startling purity and unapologetically old school. Superb concentration and sap. Amazing density and purity and so granite and so stoney. So complex. So much material. Such grip and intensity. The purity of the fruit is so intense and forget what you heard about 2014 this wine is dope a f. So long. A great great wine.

Very granite. Raspberry, coulis, mineral, delicious in a Trollat style. Very peasant. Juicy. Good balance and grip. Long. Delicious. Terrific old school style.

Big wine for a big meal. Smoky raspberry, tobacco and leather. Tannins are tight, but loosened up. Great for cleaning that bite of foie gras poutine out of the way to make room for shepherds pie
