Martin Woods
Havlin Vineyard Chardonnay
Willamette Valley, Oregon, USA
Great but quite subtle and restrained no formal notes. A little to modest for me.

May 8th, 2024Understand the Chablis comparison, crisp, clean, minerality, definitely hits above price!

Beautiful wine. Crisp and mineral driven. Meyer lemon, touch jasmine flowers, touch saline and a fantastic mouth feel. So low 12.8%. Who needs white Burgundy?

Every wine from Martin Woods is a treat. Grassy, lemony nose, almond candy in the background, mineral, white/yellow flowers, stone fruits.
Very interesting cooperage, both French and Oregonian oak. But, no buttah.
A crisp mouthful indeed, delicate.
As it warms it fills out. Never heavy.
Thanks@FassSelections.

N: Very grassy, stony, a hint of pineapple coming through.Mineral, almost the beachyness* of Chablis or…Manzanilla.
P: Subdued Green apple, crunchy, some salt, Interesting wood on the palate from combination of French & Oregonian oak.
It’s there, but not interfering. No but-tah.
Delicious, snappy, refreshing.
Thanks @Fasselections
