Light cherry color with violet undertones. Fun little nose of light oak, bright cherries, cigar smoke, and floral accents. There’s a lot to be said of quality, consistent wines. Not a lot of difference in vintages with them, no surprises. Familiarity can breed comfort. The key word for the palate is smooth. Lacking a strong presence of fruit, you’ll find vanilla, dry grass, a little menthol, and some strawberry here, along with more oak. Decent length to the finish. Inexpensive and pleasing is always a win.
