Martín Códax
Rías Baixas Albariño
Lovely wine. Delicate dry hay and yeast aroma on the nose and palate. Salinity. Good mouth feel. Balanced. Lovely food wine.

The wine explodes on the palate with tart lemon and peachy flavors with that honeysuckle lingering in the background. Codax was the first albarino I ever had and it has a special place in my heart.

Aug 31st, 2016Poured blonde in color. ON THE NOSE: lemon zest and flint. Tight nose. but reminds me of the beach. ON THE PALATE: very tart. Doesn't seem balanced. Lemon pith and dishwater maybe peach later on. Light body and very short finish that is bitter.
