Had this at a tasting together with a bunch of great wines. Straw yellow with aromas of tropical and stone fruits and floral notes. On the palate flavors of crisp pears,?peaches and some citrus with an underlying touch of sweetness and some mineral tones. Good length on the finish a little crispier than some other Albariño’s. Tasting Sample.

Called this Pinot Grigio blind. Tough, thought it showed some reduction on the open, didn’t get my peach yogurt marker, someone called fruit cup, tricky little wine and I didn’t love it blind. First Albariño I ever drank about 13 years ago.

Still trying to find my foothold with Albariño. I’ll keep looking, but nothing has excited me yet, and maybe that’s my fault (you can always find an Albariño at the grocery store, but...). The nose displays a healthy dose of peach and lemon, even to the point of a syrupy fruit cup. Beyond that not a lot jumps out; maybe a touch of floral, a touch of minerals. What’s confusing is the creaminess that has nothing to do with oak, although MF is permitted. The palette could easily be confused with Chardonnay, with plenty of lemon and soft acid funk. Lots of peach there, too, with a slightly bitter finish. By no means a bad wine, just nothing to write home about.

A well done and proper Albariño. On the nose, white flowers and grapefruit peel. In the mouth, ruby grapefruit, minerals and honeysuckle. Medium-long finish. Good QPR, and the price has remained consistent over 10 years, when I used to sell the s$&@ out of it at retail.

Very nice albarino. Lemony and minerals. Went well with my home made pesto. 2016

I wish this was more floral. Acid is a tad rough, but still refreshing.
