40%petite Syrah, 37% zinfandel, 23% nero d’avola. Bright at the outset with undercurrent of dark fruit, but also raspberries, plums, and currants. The acidity builds with green apple picking up the finish.

Best Martha to date. Her wines get interesting at this level, beyond Post Flirtation. Here she channels Sicily and projects Cali through two grapes she adores - Nero D’Avola and Zin.Dark brew of juicy fruits and toasted spice. Plums, Driscoll’s blackberries, ripe raspberries. Cinnamon and cardamom.

2019. Loved this wine so much a few months ago. When I saw an article on the winemaker in the Oct Food&Wine, it reminded me that I needed to buy another bottle! I remember decanting the first bottle for a little while, but we didn’t have time tonight. By the end of dinner, it was drinking fantastic like the decanted bottle.
