This is surprisingly pleasant. Not a ton of character or finish, but didn't mind a glass with steak. Don't tell the hipsters.

It’s getting darker earlier and that means winter is coming and this is a winter wine if ever there was one. I knew this would be big but it’s bigger than that! Extremely dark in the glass with a slight cloudiness brought on by the age. There was plenty of sediment in the bottle so had to run through filter paper. Extremely powerful nose with dark fruits, tar, winter spices and menthol. Palate is very smooth and the alcohol which is high has integrated well which allows for a rich rather than hot finish. Loads of fruit on the taste with a blend of diesel, pepper and espresso. This wine was created by the Mollydooker gang in an earlier venture and it shows. Probably not for everybody but in its class this is really good and very enjoyable. Perfect time to drink this is when you need help getting over the hump after Thanksgiving or Christmas lunch before the ham and cheese come out in the evening.
