Feb 12th, 2022This is a new vineyard for me. Never heard of it. Nose is stunning and so giving. Unreal lime pith and layers of the most clear slate one can imagine. Just sick. Wow. Ebullient. Fresh herbs and a “field” vibe. Like you are in a field and the aromas are so overwhelming. This is so so high toned. Bright. Penetrating. Vulcanized rubber. The herbs are sick. Ocean breeze. 9.7 nose. Insane. You cannot stop smelling it. Wow that’s a complex palate. Wow. Deep, structured and so so mineral. Beyond mineral. Amazing depth and clarity. Like chewing on rocks. Initially no fruit on the palate but it will come. Oh it will come. What length. They complexity is a 9.8. It’s an assault. A maelstrom. Almost tannic. So powerful. This is the “Fassiest” wine yet of the Molitor. Even with the grip, depth and almost tannic quality it still is velvety and textured. The finish is endless. Genius. It will only get better. 9.7 off the bat.
Now after hours open it is so fine and delicate yet intense. Easily stays at 9.7 but so nimble right now.

Nose has an herbal character after it’s been open. Bay leaf ?
Palate has very good density. Not elite. But very good. Intense. As it opens you get some lovely richness.
