So accidentally grabbed this because we wanted to try a different fun white fun, not knowing that 'Auslese' means "late harvest". So needless to say this was an interesting wine. @India Okoh was not a fan at all.
Deep golden yellow with a touch of orange and unfiltered. Subtle nose with thick honeycomb, hay or straw and a touch of dirty cellar. Moderate acidity masked by a sweet attack with a medium body. Palate has some notes of honey, and white floral notes on the attack but a little singular. Very interesting since it is so sweet in the attack but mellows out and a little dry in the medium finish. It lingers but is a lot softer. Seems like it needs to develop further. Drink till 2024.
