Lovely stuff from this great, great producer. Like others have described it has a Burgundian feel to it with layers and layers of flavours. Really on the dry side for Mosel with an electric and never ending finish.

The appearance is youthful with light early summer straw color. On the nose, it's such a beauty - full of tropical floral scents reminding me of blossomed jasmine, satinwood flower, Chinese box and moon jasmine flowers. The palate is expressive, and powerful. I should also say that the wine has been decanted for a very long time before we tasted (most likely a week, yet it hadn't lost any of its freshness - a sign of great wine). The fruit profile is ripe and opulent but with enough acidity to prevent the wine from becoming one-dimensional. Keep 5 more years to reach its primary apogee and a decade if you enjoy Riesling's tertiary goodness. 92+
