I REALLY dug this! And not just because I like all things dark. This was not your typical Cali PN. It is, of course 19% Syrah which I am betting helps add the glorious dark coloring to this. Medium bodied with perfectly velvet tannins, the black cherry marmalade essence is strong. You'd think they'd stuck a vanilla bean in the oak barrel but I'm supposing that is just the French Oak. The finish is not particularly compelling and this is not especially complex but gosh darn it is tasty. Balanced, slightly spicy and lush. And...noir. As a Pinot should be.

Heavy bodied Pinot, really great for the price. Nice fall table wine.

Really impressed with this Pinot. Heavier body than a normal pinot. Really nice oak and cherry tones.

PN w/Syrah I assume. Jammy blackberry and cocoa notes. Doesn't taste like PN, but not terrible.

A very nice Pinot. Great from the first pour. A dark ruby red that is mild on the nose and finish. Great mouth feel with flavors of black cherry and slate.

Pinot Noir with Syrah. Black cherry and vanilla French Oak. Very smooth and slightly spicy, lovely for fall.

Ripe and extracted, sweet blackberry jam, acai berry and cherry cola aromas. Spicy vanilla bean and cappuccino oak nuances. The Syrah's warm climate goes out front and pushes ahead. Attack, mid-palate, and finish take on some juicy juice characteristics. If you're expecting a Pinot Noir, you won't really get it here. Hot on the palate. Residual sugar is on the higher end, and it's sitting more at 14% rather than 13.5% alcohol. Grrrrrrrrr! Oak Monster @Gary Vaynerchuk HUMP DAYY! Cheers!
