Kind of blah, a poor vintage which age could not rescue.

My favorite burgundy producer. JR drinking window 18-24 so I gave this a shot. Relative dark for this difficult year (2013). Cherry 🍒 and tart cranberries hint of allspice - needs 2-3 more years to mellow but I doubt this will be special down the road. A little rustic. This vineyard does in my opinion not have the capacity to produce good wines in poor years see my review for 2011 - So i disagree with JR here it is not a 16.5 pointer on her scale more like 15.5.

My favorite producer who makes awesome wines from unsung vineyards in Burgundy. Perfumed nose roses/cranberry juice blend. Much heavier then the Nuits Saint George. Dark berries such as blackberries tannic now but will mellow out. A great wine buy it if you can find it! Online at Amitie wines. Premier Cru level!
