Dutton Ranch - Shop Block 1967 is the vineyard designation for the few remaining historic vines that established Warren Dutton's wine growing business. This 2017 vintage is from about half vines planted 50 years ago - the rest are replants and later interplants. A wild array of clones and selections of Chardonnay anchored by those massive and serious 50 year old vines. About half of this wine was done using indigenous yeasts and about a third of the barrels were brand new. It gets better each time I try it. Release date - March 2019
