Brought to dinner by an old friend, cork was mush, barely made it out. Ultra-funk on open, almost tossed it but, having faith in the Tuscan Gods, left the decanter in cellar for 2 hrs. By the time veal chops ready, the nose had evolved into an earthy-leathery-cherry-mushroomy delight. Unmistakably BdiM, sour cherry and earthy core could've been quite interesting but for a bit of oxidization-fallout. Not as dry or astringent as too old or bad year Castel's can get. Interesting experience!
