Blown away by this one. Let it open for an hour. Garnet colored with a nose heavy on vanilla, cherry, raisin, clove, star anise. Very dry with some warm tobacco, earth, and game backed with cassis. Moderate tannins that work well within the wine. Medium-bodied, moderate finish.

Oy yoy yoy! What a wine! Sometimes I find Amarones a bit thick and syrupy. This is anything but. Rich, yet totally disciplined and discernibly structured without a trace of the generic thickness that can sometimes afflict more fruit forward wines. A true marvel, and an absolute pleasure.

Excellent Amarone Della Valpolicella...2010 is very smooth...fruit is not too pronounced...balanced flavors of raisin, plum, spice, black pepper. A lasting finish...a very enjoyable delectable wine!

Very solid - had the 2009 and let it open up for 2-3 hours before enjoying. Would love to get my hands on a 2010 in a few years.

What a wonderful wine. The nose offers tar, pipe tobacco, dark corn syrup, & red fruit. The palate includes raisin, strawberry, plum, and strawberry, with a hint of dark corn syrup. This is a full bodied red with 15% alcohol, and tannins that frame its sweet and complex flavor.
