Definitely rough. Earthy with berries on the nose. Harsh tannins with berries on the palate. Better with some time in the decanter. Just okay. Definitely better wines for the price. — 9 years ago
Nose consists of cherries, tar, chocolate, & butter. The flavor includes cherries, currants, spice, & chocolate. Surprisingly good. Very drinkable. — 10 years ago

What a wonderful wine. The nose offers tar, pipe tobacco, dark corn syrup, & red fruit. The palate includes raisin, strawberry, plum, and strawberry, with a hint of dark corn syrup. This is a full bodied red with 15% alcohol, and tannins that frame its sweet and complex flavor. — 9 years ago
This is a medium bodied wine. The nose includes notes of cherries, chocolate, & spices. The flavors include cherry, plum, & spice. The finish is smooth, lasting 4-5 seconds. — 10 years ago
Bouquet of black raspberry, cream, spice, cocoa, with a touch of barnyard funk. On the palate - black raspberry, plum, spice, pepper, cocoa. Drinkable, good, but a quaffing wine, not a spectacular wine. — 10 years ago
What a surprise! A nice Wednesday night wine. Strawberries, rhubarb and a bit of basil on the nose. Strawberries and cherries on the palate. A smidge of earthiness to round things out. Medium to medium-full bodied. — 9 years ago
Great $14 bottle of wine. Medium bodied Spanish wine with some blackberry, slate, & licorice on the notes. The palate includes blackberry, plum, with a hint of savory flavor. Tannins support the wine nicely. This wine can easily stand up to hearty cuts or meat or roasted game. — 9 years ago
This is the 2013 vintage. It is a light, austere wine with a bouquet that includes pear, mineral, honey, and orange peel. It's flavor is clean with hints of honey, pear, fig, apple, & orange. — 10 years ago

Light bodied, roasted tomato flavor with some red fruit. Higher acidity. Does not have the body to stand up to red sauce, in spite of the roasted tomato flavor. — 9 years ago
