Unscrewed and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. It’s been at least ten years since I last had the 2004 Marcelina and it’s simply a more mature version of what I remember. I really liked it then and I still, really like it now. Today, the 2004 is vinous, with ripe and dried black and red fruits, tobacco, grilled Poblano pepper, leather, earth and baking spice. The structure is well integrated at this point and probably has been for some time. Great to drink now if any of this still exists anywhere. No need to hold beyond 2029.
