Ladies and gentlemen, this is why we drink wine...to experience wines like this. A few guesses of white hermitage, but my guess was older Cali chard from a high end producer like Marcassin. ✔️
Great bit of vanilla on the nose, incredibly amber colored in the glass, and a waxy character came out with the finish after time in the glass. Cali chard tasting like this at 25yrs old is just mind blowing.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but this is well past its prime. It was like vanilla ice cream left out over night. No acid or fruit, just oak and a bit of oxidation.
