This was our second bottle to celebrate International #GrenacheDay on Friday night. We've had the Mandoon Estate Old Vine Grenache a number of times so we knew it was going to go down a treat! The grapes 🍇 are sourced from the Swan Valley & Perth Hills. Approx $28 per bottle.
Purpley red colour in the glass. Cherries and red currants come through on the nose with hints of sweet oak and minties lollies. In the mouth it's full of flavour with a mix of juicy sweet red fruits and a nice lengthy finish. A super tasty WA-made Grenache in my opinion.

This 2011 bottle went bad after years of poor storage and overseas moves. A real shame since this was a standout favorite from my vine tours in Western Australia.
