Jan 29th, 2015This had gorgeous flashes but also sometimes seemed to show some new oak. I’m not even sure it was there, and after a few hours it went away, but still, it warrants a public service announcement. For the love of all that is holy, PLEASE don’t put Nebbiolo in new oak. It just never does any good, least of all to something as delicate as Valtellina. What the $%£& is the point? Just don’t drink Nebbiolo is you don’t want it to taste like Nebbiolo. Come to think of it, that goes for most wines.
