I preferred this the second day. This tastes like pure Nebbiolo with no oak or manipulation, or over extraction. Clean and light this paired well with sautéed chicken. SS

A nice nebbiolo from Valtellina. Lighter in style, 13% alcohol, doesn’t give a ton on the nose other than some hints of dark red fruit, but great mouthfeel and a nice finish with perfect acid providing a good lift. Good value.

Give this wine time to open, unless you enjoy a unidimensional cherry pallet and watery mouthfeel. After opening, however, a reward of scents of cherries and forest floor give way to lightly soured cherries/strawberries, wood smoke, and hints of herbs that lingers just right. A fine everyday drinking wine. Surprised there was not more earth. Could almost be mistaken for a California coastal Pinot if not for the smoke on the pallet.

Bright with currants, anise, some citrus acidity, pomegranate, jammy. Lombardy Nebbiolo, Valtellina area. From Shawn's.
