Mâcon-Villages Chardonnay

Vintage 2018 | Nice luncheon wine, true to type Chardonnay, smoky and light spicyness

Toast, vanilla and oak with green fruit notes. WSET3 London.

An elegant and not too dry wine. No oak (fermented in stainless steel tanks). A good value Macon.

Crisp and drinkable

Colour - quite dark yellow and not much legs
Smell - fresh and a lot of green apples. Very typical Chardonnay without the oak
Taste - very strong bite, full bodied, mouth feel slightly tannic from the finish. Finish is very long and clean with a slightly mineralic feel. Not a crisp wine and probably good for stronger taste food pairing.

Smooth, light and slightly buttery. Had it on Christmas Day 2018, great drinking.
