2015 was a great vintage in Coonawarra which makes entry level wines like this an absolute steal with sub AU$20 prices. Big fruit, big flavour big value.

Oak wood chips on the nose; tastes slightly young. Low tannins and low to medium acidity with blackberry undertones. Surprisingly light...

2013 is lighter than 2012: anise. floral. herbal even. eucalyptus. delicious.

Smooth and silky. Sweet, raisiny fruit. Lacks verve and lift at this stage of its development. Easy drinking, but not profound.

Decent wine with perfect balance, too simple and text-book though.

Not as stunning as other vintages of this blend, but still a fantastic "everyday" wine. Unmistakeable Coonawarra cab on the nose, milder than anticipated finish. Nice drop.

2011 vintage. Very nice. A bit more astringent gent than a straight cabernet. Good with prime rib and steak.

Part two of the blind taste. 2013 has much more complexity. Smoke (probably from the campfire), fennel, floral. Surprisingly, the wine that's aged less is better... Just slightly.
