Just an insane wine. What a showing. Nose is floral like nothing else. Almost impossibly floral and decadent. Black berry fruit, wet earth, granite, some cassis, some game, so so complex and inviting. Wide wide open. Omg this is just stunning. 9.8 nose. This is why this is my favorite CR estate and also my favorite natural wine estate. These are masterpieces. Violets. Lavender. The clarity and precision and just incredible. Wow, what a palate. Shockingly pure and deep. Stunning depth and richness yet so light and elegant. Amazing! Blackberry and red berry fruits galore that are tiny berry intense and just so so clean. This is mjndblowing. So fresh. So juicy. So linear. Stunning length and texture. This has it all. Velvety tannins and wonderful structure. Just a wow wine.
9.7 to 9.8 after an hour. Just kept expanding and expanding and the nose got to a 9.9 level. This will be a 10 with proper age.

This is really fragrant and perfumed, but wild as hell. There’s not a fruit in here that isn’t wild: wild strawberries and raspberries, and maybe even watermelon at first. But meaty and wild. Savory rich florals: curry plant and violet and rose. Really soulful and organically balanced. Unique as all hell, has a human feel. I’ve never had a cote rotie like this one. Really drinkable tannins. Excellent.
