Hugely disappointed by this wine, my first cote rotie. Given the reputation of the region, I had expected a complex, bold Syrah. This was rather dull. Save yourself $60 and go for any one of the delicious California Syrah’s for under $20.

Started off pretty tannic on the finish, decanted for a hour or so total smooth out to the point hey I want some tannins. Incredibly vevetly smooth wine one of the best Sirah I have drank very balanced. They kept the alcohol in the lower range 13.5% Getting a little expensive for me but just had to try some.

Dark garnet color with aromas of tobacco, apple, dark cherry, plum, and green vegetables. Smooth with cherry, stewed fruits, and tart spice notes.

Fresh chopped tart green apples with lingering hints of vanilla, charred meats, tobacco, and olive brine on the nose. Light-bodied deep garnet red with thin legs, juicy plum, tart cranberry, hints of tomato on the palate, peppery finish with tight black tea tannins lingering pleasantly. Very unique and interesting!
