2013 vintage. This is the Syrah Grande Réserve IGP Pays d'Oc Sélection Parcellaire from Maison Castel. I much prefer this over the Merlot 2023 in this range. Simple, but with admirable purity of black fruit, mingled with spices. A crowd pleaser and very good value at 6,90 euro. Abv. 13,5%.
