Smells of tart fruit and raw gooseberry and rhubarb. However has a rich sweetness tang, like a sour Sauternes. Good acidity. Tastes earthy with a dry sweetness.

Fairly fresh and youthful white, nice notes of apple sauce, white peach, butterscotch and vanilla.
Oak in the nose, but not woodsy in the mouth. An honest, true-to-type NZ-Chard. Quite nice.
