Gravity Sauvignon Blanc

So in December I went home to NZ for a couple of weeks. As part of the trip we ventured down to Nelson (north west of Marlborough/ top of the South Island) where my grandparents all live. One of the days we took my Grandma out to lunch at @mahanaestates (delicious) and funnily enough when I got back and was choosing the next #thetcwineclub box, this beauty was available! It was only natural this organic Sauv Blanc made the month’s selection!
It’s a lemon colour on the eye with a hint of lime. The nose is rather savoury with vegetal and stony characteristics plus there’s also some refreshing citrus and stonefruit in there. In the mouth I pick up lemon grass and candied lime, with a hint of passionfruit. If you think you know what Kiwi Sauv is like, try this one - it may surprise you!
I enjoyed this with some Talley’s (also a company from Nelson) NZ mussels 👌
