Dry, strong tannins, moderate acid, full bodied, big taste of balsam; at Mahana Estates, Upper Moutere, New Zealand 2017.02.26 — 8 years ago
While the Walls is very overpriced due to geography. The Syrah tells a story of a new town created out of the love of winemaking. Drinkable, Red Fruit forward and a succinct finish . — 2 years ago

Previously knew nothing of these wines. Hand carried from NZ. Each bottle is numbered and everything I tried was exceptional. This Sauvignon Blanc used all native yeast, spontaneously fermented. The bottle opened for several days. Notes from Day 5: gorgeous expression of grapefruit and minerals. Each bottle was individually numbered by hand on the capsule (Stelvin). I need to find a source for these. Perhaps one of the best wines I have had from NZ. — 6 years ago

Mahana will make you want to build a wall to keep others away from drinking your wine. Be warned, if you build a 7 ft wall, I’ll bring an 8 ft ladder. — 4 months ago
