Schieferkopf Sélection Parcellaire Lieu-dit Buehl Alsace Riesling

A blend of riesling, gewurz and sylvaner. The wine offered intense floral aromas when out-of-the-fridge cold, then gained complexity in the glass with ripe fruit, fennel and star anise notes. Hints of minerality also, but not the 'petrole' type. Haute couture. In magnum.

Not quite enough acidity or fruit. Pleasant but uninspiring.

Not your typical sweet Riesling. Love the golden color and the perfectly balanced taste.

Love it every time! Perfect with our cheese fondue.

Pestral is starting to show but needs about 5 more years

Loved this! Velvety smooth and golden color. Not a sweet, "grocery store" Riesling.

My first expression of Alsatian Riesling - no petrol, great acidity and wonderful balance.
