Decent label. Simple. Has a dark, dark color. Smells heady with plenty of tamari to go with the plum molasses and toasted nuts. Flavors are dry AF. Bitter and dense. It’s like Petite Sirah with a passport. Has blackberry and plum in spades. This was a score at Grocery Outlet. Has a lot of the great style of Douro wines.

Southern Rhone made in Portugal?... not exactly, it has cooler climate black fruit style, earthy, charred wood. Garnet color, Medium bodied. Nose is a bit meaty at the begging like its French cousins, dry, soft and black fruit (blackberries) driven wine. Medium(+) acidity with medium length bitter/sweet/black pepper spicy finish.
