Wow! I throughly enjoyed this one. This one really needs to breath. Initial nosing is very earthy, humid and moss like, deep, with the dark fruit in the background. I can see how some mention tobacco. It is increasingly dry on the palate, but gentle, and a medium to long finish. Very nice complexity and balanced tannins for just $25Cad!
Wonder what this will taste like in another year or two. Time to go buy more.

Wow the New Vintage of Occultum from Chapoutier gets better and better. Needed 1 hour to breathe. Everything you expect in a Rhone Style Blend. Tannin structure , great body and fruit. This will last for 3-7 years at least ! Great Job! CB 93-95

Very nice presentation. Predominately Grenache that was leaning towards the dark red fruit and stewed prunes with a peppery lingering finish. Med acidity, med + body.

Warming alcohol and distinctive black pepper note and yes, violets too. There is a solid balance of structure with some noticeable tannin with good weight and sweet blackberry fruit and licorice. The finish stops short but still a good effort. Sample. Retail Price USD $25.

Very highly rated, but this didn't really do it for me.

Nose is closed even an hour after opening. Soft round tannins, with still enough fruit and acidity to hold a bit longer.

Worse wine I tasted in a long time. Small berries taste, nothing going for it other than the alcohol potency. Put me to sleep after 2 glasses. Parker gave it 97 points and I can’t figure out why...
