Top Notes For
No one drinks enough old white Rhône. While not a great vintage, the wine was great. Lots of honeyed, nutty notes with crunchy bran, banana purée, Cabot cloth bound cheddar with an intense, lengthy bitterness (almond skin) and oily texture. The perfect cheese wine. Oak was totally integrated and supportive of the rest of the wine.

Nov 2nd, 2014A 750ml does the magic but the magnum was a little too much nutty marsanne.

Jul 31st, 2018Papas in Houston with Patrick from Harris. Started off a little off but opened up beautifully. Needs about an hr. Straw hue, much earthier than the Chave Blanc. Cork was spectacular. Been in the cellar forever.
