This wine showed some of the defects that I have seen and other Chapoutier wines. There was a sour note on the palate, and a lack of richness and depth and balance of flavors that I would expect in a fine wine.

Took a bit time to open. Peppery, dried herbs, black berry, soft and round on the palate. A representative Chateauneuf du pape.
