This was a beautiful blend of 90% merlot and 10% cab franc. While rich and with plenty of new oak, there was a mineral edge that puts this in the old world for me and balanced the wine.

Dark eggplant/burgundy color, smells of roasted meat, purple fig, Brie cheese, and red fruits, good acidity with soft and firm sweet tannin, tastes of raspberry, cassis syrup, blueberry jam, and tobacco, a very sexy and elegant wine, long smooth finish.
